Child Labour-2

Child Labour-1

Child Labour in Pakistan

"Child Labour" is generally speaking work for children that harms them or exploits them in some way (physically, mentally, morally or blocking access to education).

UN's International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) defines child Labour as type of work performed by children below age 18.

Health & Education

ANCE is working successfully in the sector of primary Health Care & Basic Education in the villages of Punjab. Because the villagers are deprived of medical facility and qualified medical practitioners that’s why there is need to educate the community.

Environment Issues

content3

According to an estimate, 74% females use traditional stove for cooking purposes.

Traditional stoves waist fuel and produce heavy smoke directly affecting eyes & respiratory system of females & their children. On the other hand the smoke-less stove not only save fuel but also create a clean environment.

Current Project - Front Page

Association of Network for Community Empowerment is currently working on this Project:

Millions of workers in Pakistan suffer under a system of bonded labor. The bonded labor system consists of giving advances of "peshgi" (bonded money) to a person. As long as all or part of the peshgi debt remains outstanding, the debtor/worker is bound to the creditor/employer. In case of sickness or death, the family of the individual is responsible for the debt, which often passes down from generation to generation. In the case of children, the peshgi is paid to a parent or guardian, who then provides the child to work off the debt. So we can rightly say that a man born in debt and died in debt.

Brick kiln is one of the most common types of bonded labor in Pakistan. They work without considering intensity of weathers. Winter or summer doesn't affect their working as they have to work even in worst weather conditions. There is no comparison of Pakistani laborer in all over the world as they are facing worst conditions then laborer of other countries. According to an estimate there are about 2455 kiln in Pakistan. About 50 people work at kiln among them 50% are females. It is anticipated that there are 121025 brick kiln workers in Punjab.
